What is post construction cleaning?
Post construction cleaning is the specialized cleaning that happens after construction or renovation work, and it is a different job from regular janitorial service. Construction leaves fine drywall dust in every vent and on every ledge, paint and adhesive on floors and glass, protective film and stickers on fixtures, and packaging and scrap in every room.
A builder-grade clean removes all of it in the right order, without scratching new finishes, so the space passes the walkthrough and is ready for the owner, the tenant or the buyer. Final Phase does this work in phases that line up with your build schedule, so nothing gets cleaned twice and nothing gets missed.
The three phases of post construction cleaning
Most projects need all three. Each phase has its own page with the full scope.

Post construction cleaning FAQ
What is post construction cleaning?
It is the cleaning done after construction or renovation work: removing construction dust, debris, protective film, stickers, paint and adhesive residue from every surface, usually in rough, final and touch-up phases.
When should I schedule post construction cleaning?
Schedule the rough clean once drywall is finished, the final clean once the last trade is out, and a touch-up right before move-in or opening. Send us the schedule and we will plan all three.
What is the difference between a rough clean and a final clean?
A rough clean happens mid-build and clears debris and heavy dust so trades can keep working. A final clean happens after all trades finish and details every surface for the walkthrough.
How long does a final construction clean take?
It depends on the square footage, the finishes and how much dust the build left behind. We give you a timeline with the bid.
Do you remove construction debris?
We clear the dust, scraps, packaging and small debris inside the space. Large dumpster loads are typically handled by your hauler.
Do you clean residential new construction?
Yes. We clean new homes and model homes for builders as well as commercial projects.
Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?
Yes. Final Phase brings every cleaning supply and tool the job needs.
How is post construction cleaning priced?
Every bid is based on square footage, phase, finishes, access and timeline. Request a bid and we will send a written quote. See the pricing guide for what affects cost.
